Permits

Permits are required for day use, boating, camping, hunting, and trapping.

The Reservoir Supervisor or designated representative will be checking for permits.

A penalty may be issued if not properly displayed.

(No Day Use fee is charged if riding a bicycle or walking).

2.01 Daily Permits

Permits may be purchased by filling out the envelope at the park entrance, placing the money in the envelope, and depositing it in the dropbox. Keep the top white copy to place in the indicated locations. Daily permits run from the time of purchase to 10 am the following day.

2.02 Annual & Family Passes

Passes may be purchased at the Banner Creek Reservoir Office, or from Reservoir Personnel.

2.03 Special Activity Permits

Any group function needs to have a special activity form, so we may schedule events at Banner Creek Reservoir. Forms may be picked up at the Banner Creek Reservoir Office.

2.04 Permits Shall Be Required for the Following Activities Within the Reservoir Area

Day Use Permit 

For entrance to the Reservoir. Please have the license number for the vehicle that the permit will be placed in. (Fill out a separate envelope for each vehicle). Permits must be placed on the lower right-hand (passenger) side of the windshield. A penalty may be issued if not properly displayed.

Boating

Permit For the operation of any vessel upon the reservoir except for canoes or non-powered boats. Please have the state boat number available for the permit. Permits must be placed at the front, right-hand side of the boat, nearest the hull. A penalty may be issued if not properly displayed.

Camping Permit

For the purpose of camping overnight in the Reservoir Area.

Permits must be placed in the lower right windshield of the recreation vehicle. Tent permits must be displayed on the front of the tent at the entrance or on the tent pole.

Hunting & Trapping

Hunting and Trapping permits, in the Banner Creek Reservoir land area, may be obtained at the Banner Creek Reservoir Office. Permits can only be issued from the Banner Creek Reservoir Office.

Special Activity Permit

For the purpose of having a get-together with family or friends. Such as picnics, reunions, or fishing tournaments. Permits can only be issued at the Banner Creek Reservoir Office.

2.05 Revocation of Permits

A permit to do any act shall authorize the same only insofar as it may be performed in strict accordance with the terms and conditions thereof and in compliance with all Reservoir regulations. Any violation of the terms and conditions thereof or any reservoir regulation shall constitute a ground for revocation by the county or authorized representative whose acting therein shall be final. In case of revocation of any permit, all monies paid for on account shall, at the option of the County, be forfeited to and be retained by it, and the holder of such permit, together with his agents or employees who violated such terms and conditions, shall be jointly and severally liable to the County for all damages and loss suffered by it in excess of money so forfeited and retained. Neither the forfeiture of the fees nor the recovery or collection of damages, shall in any manner relieve such collection of damages, shall in any manner relieve such person or persons from liability and conviction of any violation of any provision of the Reservoir regulations.

2.06 Permit Fees

Charged and collected for such permits, as set forth herein, may be revised and amended by the county from time to time and shall be effective and in force upon posting at the Banner Creek Reservoir Office and at the Reservoir entrance. The Permit Fee Schedule may be revised and amended without requiring alteration or publication of other sections of the Reservoir regulations.

2.07 A $5 Penalty Will Be Collected for Not Having Permits Placed in the Proper Designated Area

See section two, sub-section 2.03 for properly designated placement areas.

2.08 Replacements of Lost or Damaged Annual Permits

Replacements are available at the Banner Creek Reservoir Office, or from Reservoir Personnel. A fee of $5 will be charged.

2.09 Sale of Permits

The Banner Creek Reservoir Office or Reservoir Personnel are authorized to sell the permits required by this article.

2.10 Non-transferable

Permits shall not be transferable or assigned to any other vehicle, vessel, or person. Annual permits shall be issued on a calendar basis, expiring on December 31 of each year notwithstanding the date of issue.
